Picnic at Elaionas Settlements

A settlement of Aegina that is not-so-famous, even from the locals. It is located in the center of the island and its only access is from the second beach of Marathon, from an uphill path. So, be ready for an hour walking!

Elaionas has a unique beauty and elegance, hence the famous fashion brand Hermès chose it for one of its photoshoots.

In this beautiful landscape, where numerous chapel are sitting next to the centenarian olive trees, we decided to have a picnic! Even in the autumn, there are days that the sun is bright and warm and the idea of having lunch outdoors seems really appealing! Especially, when you are surrounded by this natural beauty. So, along with friends and family, we took all the essentials with, we set the tablecloth on the ground and we enjoyed our lunch, under the shadows of the huge truncs with the deep creases. We thought we were part of a fairytale!
